Legal
Privacy Policy.
How we handle your information when you visit this site, book a call, or send a note — in plain English.
Last updated: [🟡 effective date — confirm at launch]
This Privacy Policy explains how Hamer Marketing Group [🟡 confirm the formal legal entity name] (“Hamer,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with hamermarketing.com (the “Site”). We keep data collection deliberately minimal. The Site uses Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags (such as analytics); it runs no advertising or third-party behavioral tracking beyond what those tags collect, and it self-hosts its fonts.
1. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the standard technical data any website receives.
Information you provide
- Contact form. If you send a note through the form on our site, we collect your name, work email, optionally your company and ARR, and your message. These are submitted through Netlify Forms.
- Booking a call. If you book a working session, you enter your details into HubSpot’s scheduling tool (name, email, and any information you add). That data is processed by HubSpot on our behalf.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our host records standard access data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view — to serve the Site and keep it secure.
- Analytics. The Site loads Google Tag Manager, which can run measurement tags such as analytics. Depending on the tags active, these may collect usage data — pages viewed, referring page, approximate location, and device/browser — and set cookies. See Third parties.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your message or scheduling request and to have the conversation you asked for.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To keep records of our business communications with you.
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Interactive tools
Our free tools that run a questionnaire — the AI Readiness Checker and the Program Optimizer — run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, stored, or saved anywhere; your result is calculated locally and disappears when you close the page. Tools that require you to contact us (such as a manual AEO check) are covered by the contact-form section above.
4. Third parties
We rely on a small number of reputable service providers to run the Site. Each processes data under its own privacy terms:
- Netlify — website hosting and form handling (server logs and contact-form submissions).
- HubSpot — meeting scheduling and management of the resulting contact record.
- Google Tag Manager (Google) — loads and manages measurement tags; analytics or other tags configured through it may collect usage data and set cookies, governed by Google’s privacy terms.
We share your information with these providers only as needed to deliver the Site and respond to you, or where required by law.
5. Cookies
The Site loads Google Tag Manager; measurement tags configured through it (such as analytics) may set cookies to recognize returning visitors and measure usage. The embedded HubSpot scheduler may also set its own cookies when it loads, governed by HubSpot’s privacy and cookie policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site’s core content will still work.
6. How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain a record of our business relationship, then delete or anonymize it. [🟡 confirm a specific retention period if you want to state one, e.g. “up to 24 months after last contact.”]
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us and we’ll respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires. [🟡 confirm your governing jurisdiction and any region-specific disclosures with counsel.]
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and rely on providers who do the same, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is a business-to-business service and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
11. Contact us
